Camcorders – Contain Different Components
Are you keen to know about the components of a camcorder? Do you want to know what additional component digital camcorders contain which analog camcorders do not have? If you are getting curious to know more about it then read this article further.

Typically, an analog camcorder consists of two basic parts. These are -
Camera section – It consists of CCD, lens as well as motors for handling the focus, aperture and zoom.
VCR section – It could be considered a TV VCR that is reduced in size to occupy a much less space.
The function of the camera component is receiving visual information and interpreting it into a video (electronic) signal. You should note the VCR component works exactly like a VCR which is connected to a television. It gets video (electronic) signal and then records it to a video tape in the form of magnetic patterns.
There is also a third component called the viewfinder. It receives video image for you to observe what view you are shooting. These viewfinders could be considered small, color or black-and-white televisions. But several modern camcorders have bigger LCD screens of full-color. The analog camcorders have many formats as well as several extra features. But the basic designing mentioned is common to most of them. The storage tape used in them is a main variable.
The digital camcorders also contain these elements. But they have an additional component for translating analog information gathered by a camera into bytes. The video signal is not stored in the form of magnetic patterns depicting a continuous track. But, the picture as well as sound is recorded as 0s and 1s.
