Modern technology aims to deliver longer lives, better health and greater conveniences. However, that progress has also come at a cost to the natural environment of the planet. This is the era of cheap, disposable electronic consumer products. The toll on areas where these goods are manufactured is quite high. These disposable goods when discarded also harm the environment creating toxic garbage pile ups. There is therefore an urgent need for developing technologies that cause little or n harm to the environment and tries to limit increase of waste and pollution. This exactly what green technology stands for.

Save The Environment

Green technology incorporates the methods and techniques necessary for sustainable development of technologies so that we can continue to use new technology to improve the living conditions without depleting our natural resources. Major concern here is of course to create and use non renewable sources of energy to conserve our fast depleting natural resources.

Another important focus of green technology is to reduce waste and pollution and this can be best achieved by reusing or recycling goods and products. There is a need for ending the ear of disposable goods to begin a new age of recycled products. Recycling not only helps to reduce the continuous drain on our natural resources but also reduces the amount of toxic waste that can cause serious damage to the ecology.

By reusing or recycling old products or parts of electronic goods to create new ones also brings down the cost of production considerably. So it also saves on energy required for production of manufacture or products as well. So do your bit for the environment by reusing and recycling things.
